Six categories, one accountable team.

International artist booking
From an emerging performer to an internationally recognised name — sourced against your brief, not against whoever we happen to know.

Corporate, MICE and incentive entertainment
For an incentive group, the entertainment is what the delegates describe when they get home. It is worth planning as the centrepiece rather than the last line of the budget.

Celebrity and VIP appearances
Appearances, brand ambassador work and private performances — coordinated on the ground, subject to the artist's own approvals.

DJs and live music
International and regional DJs, live bands and hybrid sets — matched to the room, the hour and the licence the venue holds.

Japanese and international cultural performance
Taiko, traditional music and dance, and cultural performance from other markets — for events where the destination should be visible in the room.

Event production and technical
Stage, sound, lighting, LED, AV and backline — plus the rider coordination, permits and on-site supervision that decide whether any of it works.
From brief to departure.
Booking an artist is a small part of the work. This is the whole sequence, and every stage below is one an agent would otherwise be running themselves across several time zones.
-
Brief
What the event is, who is in the room, the date, the venue and the budget band. Entertainment that ignores the audience is the commonest and most expensive mistake.
-
Concept
The entertainment direction before any name is discussed — headline act, cultural opening, after-party, or a combination built to the room.
-
Sourcing
Identifying suitable talent through our agency relationships: local, regional or international, according to the brief rather than to who is easiest to reach.
-
Availability
Checking the artist is genuinely free for that date in that city. This is where most enquiries change shape, and it is better to find out here.
-
Negotiation
Fees, riders and commercial terms, put in writing and quoted to you as one figure rather than a moving set of costs.
-
Contracting
Booking documentation and contractual coordination between the artist or their agency and the client.
-
Travel
International flights, routing and schedule around the performance, with the arrival buffer a performing artist actually needs.
-
Accommodation
Rooms to the standard the rider specifies, near enough to the venue that a delay is not a cancellation.
-
Technical
The technical rider read against what the venue can actually supply — stage, power, sound, lighting, backline — and the gap closed before anyone travels.
-
Hospitality
Dressing rooms, green rooms, backstage, catering and the hospitality rider, handled by people who will be in the building.
-
Rehearsal
Sound checks, rehearsals and technical testing scheduled into the venue plan rather than squeezed in on the day.
-
Event and departure
Artist arrival, performance coordination, on-site supervision, and the transport and close-out after the last note.
We can take only the Japan side.
If the act is already contracted through your own agency, hand us the destination half: flights and routing, accommodation to rider standard, ground transport, the technical and hospitality riders read against the actual venue, permits, rehearsals and event-day supervision. One quote, one coordinator, one party accountable on the night.
Start from the room, not the name.
Tell us the event, the audience, the destination, the date, the style and the budget band. We build options against that brief — which frequently means proposing a different category of act than the one the client first asked for, because the room and the venue licence decide more than taste does.
One operator, four destinations.
Explera operates as a group across Thailand, Japan, South Korea and Indonesia. A programme moving between them can carry completely different entertainment in each city while the contracting and coordination stay in one place. This page covers the Japan leg — the other destinations are run by their own Explera team, and a multi-country brief is handled between us rather than by you.
Confirm a name we do not yet control.
Artist availability, fees, image rights and approvals belong to the artist and their management. Explera approaches them and returns in writing with what is genuinely available for your date. Anyone confirming a specific individual before that conversation has happened is selling certainty they do not have, and it is the single most common way an entertainment brief goes wrong.
Entertainment in Japan — what agents ask.
Does Explera book international artists for events in Japan?
Yes. Explera sources artists and entertainment through established artist-management agencies across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, North America and Latin America, and delivers the Japan-side execution — travel, accommodation, technical, production, permits and on-site supervision. Availability and commercial terms rest with the artist and their management; what Explera guarantees is the process and the ground delivery.
Can you book a specific named artist?
We can approach their management and come back to you in writing with availability and terms. What we will not do is confirm a name before that conversation has happened. Availability, fees, image rights and approvals belong to the artist, and any operator promising a specific individual up front is promising something they do not control.
Do you publish artist fees?
No. Fees are set by the artist and their management and vary by date, market and format, so a published figure would be wrong immediately. Each enquiry gets a written quote covering the artist fee and the destination-side costs as one number, at net rates to the trade.
We already know the artist we want. Can you handle only the Japan side?
Yes, and it is a common brief. If the artist is already contracted through your own agency, Explera can take the destination side alone: travel, accommodation, ground transport, technical and hospitality riders, venue and permit coordination, rehearsals and event-day supervision.
Can one programme run entertainment across several countries?
Yes. Explera operates as a group across Thailand, Japan, South Korea and Indonesia, so a multi-destination programme can carry different entertainment in each city while the contracting and coordination stay with one operator. This page covers the Japan leg; the other destinations are handled by their own Explera team.
What do you need from us to start?
Six things: the event and its format, the audience and headcount, the destination and venue if fixed, the date, the entertainment style you have in mind, and a budget band. If you do not know the act yet, the last two are enough to start building options.
