WAKAN Hakone Gora by Laforet Opens 10 November 2026

Explera DMC Japan is taking requests for WAKAN Hakone Gora by Laforet, a 34-room hotel that opens in Gora, Hakone, on 10 November 2026. Mori Trust Hotels & Resorts runs it. The room rate includes dinner, breakfast and drinks with dinner, and the main bath uses hot spring water from two sources, poured in without recirculation.

Gora sits on the Hakone Tozan Railway and the cable car up towards Owakudani, so it works well as a base for a Hakone circuit.

What does the hotel offer?

• 34 rooms. A small hotel, so a group of any size takes a large share of it.
• Hot spring. The main bath draws water from the Sounzan and Kami-Gora sources and lets it overflow rather than recirculating it.
• Meals and drinks included. Dinner and breakfast are Japanese set meals, and drinks at dinner, including alcohol, are part of the rate. Lunch is not served.
• Check-in times. Check-in is from 15:00 to 19:00 and check-out is at 10:00.

Who does it suit?

• Couples and small groups. The all-in rate makes the budget simple for clients who want an easy onsen night.
• A Hakone circuit. We combine the hotel with the cable car, a Lake Ashi cruise and the Hakone Open-Air Museum.
• Arrive in time. Check-in closes at 19:00, so we plan the day to reach Gora before then.
