Explera DMC Japan is looking at THE NEXTT HOTEL in Tachikawa, west Tokyo, for meetings and events from 2027. The hotel opens on 1 March 2027 in the rebuilt former Palace Hotel Tachikawa, with 211 rooms and seven function rooms. The largest hall seats up to about 1,500 guests, one of the biggest in the Tama area.
The hotel is run by Tachihi Hospitality Management, part of the Tachihi Holdings group. The old Palace Hotel Tachikawa closed at the end of 2023.
What does the hotel offer?
- 211 rooms. On the 6th to 12th floors, including Japanese-style rooms and rooms for guests with dogs.
- A large banquet hall. It holds up to about 1,500 people and can be divided into smaller rooms.
- Seven function rooms in all. A medium hall and several small rooms suit breakout sessions and meetings.
- Near the station. About five minutes on foot from JR Tachikawa Station and three minutes from Tachikawa-Kita on the Tama Monorail.
How do we use it for MICE groups?
- A west Tokyo base. Tachikawa has fast trains into central Tokyo and is closer to the Tama hills and Mount Takao than the city centre.
- One building for the whole event. Groups can sleep, meet and hold a gala dinner under one roof.
- Book the hall early. Large halls in Tokyo fill early for spring and autumn, so we ask for space as soon as dates are set.
- Pair it with a day out. Showa Kinen Park, a large national government park, is close by for a team activity or a walk.
