The 2027 Japanese Grand Prix — planning Suzuka for 9–11 April 2027
The date is now fixed: 9–11 April 2027, the first Sprint weekend at Suzuka. Rooms near the circuit and the best grandstands go first, so the agencies that move now get the weekend their clients actually want.
When is the 2027 Formula 1 Japanese Grand Prix?
Friday 9 to Sunday 11 April 2027 at Suzuka Circuit — round four of the season and the first Sprint weekend at Suzuka. Tickets go on sale on 15 November 2026 at 11:00 Japan time; session times and prices follow later.

What is actually confirmed
Formula 1 published the 2027 calendar in September 2026: the Japanese Grand Prix runs on 9–11 April 2027, round four of the season. It is also the first Sprint weekend at Suzuka, so the Saturday carries a short race as well as qualifying. Suzuka Circuit opens ticket sales on Sunday 15 November 2026 at 11:00 Japan time, and the contract keeps the race at Suzuka through 2029.
What you can lock now
Hotel inventory is the constraint, not tickets. There is very little luxury stock inside an hour of the circuit, so the workable bases are Nagoya, Kyoto and Osaka — and the club-floor and suite inventory in those cities is blocked early by operators. Early April can also overlap the end of the cherry-blossom season, one of the busiest weeks of the Japanese year, which adds pressure on every room.
The same is true of vehicles and English-speaking ground staff for the weekend. Both are finite in Mie on a race weekend, and both are gone early.
What has to wait
Session times, ticket prices and the exact shape of the itinerary. Those follow the release. What should not wait is registering the client: an interest held with us converts on 15 November and the days after, which is the only window in which the good grandstands and the hospitality allocations are genuinely available.
The honest version of the timeline
Twelve to eighteen months out is when a Suzuka file should open, and for April 2027 that window is now. A client who asks in the new year is not being sold a weekend, they are being sold whatever survived. We would rather tell an agent that early than take the booking and disappoint their client.

Questions agents ask
Has the 2027 Japanese Grand Prix date been announced?
Yes. Formula 1 confirmed 9–11 April 2027 at Suzuka, round four of the season and the first Sprint weekend at the circuit. Suzuka Circuit opens ticket sales on 15 November 2026 at 11:00 Japan time.
Can I book a 2027 Suzuka package now?
You can register a client now and we hold hotel inventory in Nagoya, Kyoto or Osaka, vehicles and ground staff against the confirmed dates. Tickets are requested at the 15 November release, and final pricing follows. Registering early is what puts a file at the front of that release.
How far ahead should agents start on Suzuka?
Twelve to eighteen months. Grandstand allocations and the hotels within an hour of the circuit move fast once dates and tickets are out, so a client who asks a few weeks before the race is choosing from what remains rather than from what is good.
Why does the hotel matter more than the ticket?
Because Mie has almost no luxury inventory. The bases that work are Nagoya at roughly ninety minutes, or Kyoto and Osaka further out but with genuinely luxury hotels. That stock is blocked by operators early, so it is the first thing to run out and the hardest to recover.
Is Suzuka staying on the calendar after 2027?
Yes. Formula 1 and Suzuka agreed a five-year extension that keeps the Japanese Grand Prix at the circuit through 2029 inclusive, so 2028 and 2029 are contracted as well.
