Explera DMC Japan now routes groups for the Noto Peninsula through Noto Satoyama Airport, which became the Noto Satoyama Pokémon with You Airport on 7 July 2026. Ishikawa Prefecture and the Pokémon With You Foundation run the project until the end of September 2029, to support children affected by the 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake.
The airport has a direct link to Tokyo: ANA flies between Haneda and Noto twice a day, and the flight takes about one hour.
What has changed at the airport?
- A Pokémon theme throughout. A large Pikachu balloon greets arrivals, and Flying-type Pokémon appear around the terminal.
- An observation deck. The outdoor deck is decorated with Pikachu figures set out as a Noto country landscape.
- A recovery project. The theme supports children in the areas hit by the earthquake and aims to bring visitors back to Noto.
- It runs until 2029. The Pokémon name and design stay until the end of September 2029.

How do we plan Noto trips around the airport?
- Fly in, drive out. Flying from Haneda saves a long rail and road journey, and we meet groups with a coach at the airport.
- Mind the seat count. With two flights a day, seats for a large group are limited, so we hold them early or split the group.
- Pair it with Kanazawa. Many clients fly into Noto and leave by rail from Kanazawa, or the other way round.
- Check what has reopened. Parts of Noto are still recovering, so we confirm every hotel, road and site before we quote.
