Explera DMC Japan is adding Mitsui Garden Hotel Osaka Dojimahama Premier to its 2027 Osaka shortlist for groups and MICE. Mitsui Fudosan says the hotel opens on 26 February 2027 with 220 rooms high in a tower beside the Dojima River in Kita Ward, with a guest lounge and a grill restaurant on the 25th floor.
The name is the first thing to get right. Mitsui already runs a hotel a short distance away, the one most agents know as Mitsui Garden Hotel Osaka Premier in Nakanoshima. From 26 February 2027 that older hotel takes a new name, Mitsui Garden Hotel Osaka Nakanoshima Premier, so the two stay apart. We put the full name on every rooming list and voucher from now on, because "the Mitsui Garden Premier" will soon mean two hotels.
What will Mitsui Garden Hotel Osaka Dojimahama Premier offer?
- 220 rooms on the upper floors of the tower, about 100 metres above street level, many with river and city views.
- A double-height guest lounge on the 25th floor, for hotel guests only, with a terrace over the river.
- BABEL, a grill restaurant and bar on the same floor, which also serves breakfast to hotel guests.
- A fitness room and a laundry room, which matter more than they sound on a long programme.
- A short walk to the rail network. Watanabebashi Station on the Keihan Nakanoshima Line is about three minutes away, and the Umeda stations are within walking distance.
Where does it fit in an Osaka programme?
Dojimahama sits between Umeda and Nakanoshima, which is a quieter base than Namba and a practical one for business groups. Offices, the Nakanoshima museums and the riverside walks are all close, and a coach can reach Osaka Castle or the bay area without crossing the busiest streets of the south.
For a corporate group or an incentive with a meeting day, we would pair this hotel with a venue nearby and keep the evening in Kita or Fukushima for dinner. For a leisure group that wants Dotonbori nights, Namba is still the better base, and we say so.
There is also 2027 demand to think about. The World Masters Games come to Kansai in May 2027, and spring is the busiest season in Osaka anyway, so we request rooms for March to May dates early rather than wait for the opening.
