Motegi is the race to sell to a client who would never get near a Formula 1 ticket at Suzuka. It is a world-championship round with a real paddock atmosphere, good seats available at sensible lead times, and a location that opens up Tochigi — Nikko, Kinugawa's ryokan, and the Utsunomiya food scene — in a way that Suzuka never opens up Mie.
- Ticket availability is genuinely better than Formula 1, so a late enquiry can still become a good weekend rather than a disappointment.
- Nikko is under two hours away, which means the motorsport weekend attaches naturally to one of Japan's great cultural sites.
- The circuit sits in countryside with limited quality accommodation, so basing and transfers are the whole operational problem.

Basing decides the file.
Utsunomiya is the practical base and Nikko the desirable one. For luxury files we use Nikko and Kinugawa ryokan, accept the longer transfer, and give the client an itinerary that would justify the trip even without the race.
When to start.
Six to nine months is comfortable for good seating and ryokan inventory. Inside three months the racing is still bookable but the best ryokan rooms are not.

The 2026 Japanese Grand Prix runs at Mobility Resort Motegi on 2–4 October 2026 as a round of the MotoGP world championship. Later seasons follow a similar autumn slot, confirmed when each calendar is published.
Is MotoGP easier to book than Formula 1 in Japan?
Considerably. Motegi has real availability at lead times where Suzuka has none, so clients can sit in a good grandstand for a world-championship round without the year-ahead scramble the Grand Prix demands.
Where do clients stay for Motegi?
Utsunomiya is closest and most practical; Nikko and Kinugawa offer ryokan worth staying in. We generally base luxury clients at Nikko and plan the transfer around the circuit's exit traffic.
What else is worth adding to a Motegi weekend?
Nikko is the obvious answer — Toshogu, Lake Chuzenji and Kegon Falls are within easy reach, and a private guided day there turns a race weekend into a proper Tochigi itinerary.
